COSTS
We are UNUSUALLY helpful and open in that we are prepared to show customers prices here on our web site, not hiding prices before making you feel pressurised to have a sales-pitch pressurise you. Obviously, some things such as door breaks cannot be estimated without knowing full details of your requirements
Here is an example to help you decide whether you prefer to use an experienced installer or do it yourself.
PRIME GRADE WOOD FLOORING PRICES PER M2 (INSTALLED !):
Wood Flooring, Underlay, Installation and VAT inclusive (no borders or doors)
e.g. 3 strip prime Oak wood flooring, several rooms say of 50m2 installed price: £3100.
Door strips and edgings extra.
3 strip planks (7 inch wide planks) Oak £62, Beech £62, Ash £62, Maple £62, Cherry £67, Merbau £62:per m2 installed.
1 strip planks (4 to 5 inches wide)Oak £74, Beech £74, Ash £74, Maple £74, Cherry £79:per m2 installed.
1 strip planks (7 inches wide)Oak £78, Beech £78, Ash £78, Maple £78, Cherry £86
p.’s Prices for NATURAL or RUSTIC GRADE are 5% less e.g. £59 Oak 3 strip.
4+ inch wide (110mm) single strip planks (110mm actually) can suit smaller rooms better than very large wider planks.
Bamboo, Solid 1 strip 3+inch wide planks: £67 per m2 for natural colour, £70 for caramel stained colour per m2.

Buying the right materials takes time.
There are always extra unforeseen costs for things such as door thresh-hold strips, radiator gap covers etc which you may find you need.
Door strips in Wood and undercutting of a door cost £50 per door fitted.
Radiator gap covers vary depending on type: £3 to £6 per cover
...Paint or varnish for the borders to cover expansion gaps ("scotias" or "quadrants") if you buy these unfinished.
These FITTED we provide at £6 per meter length, varnished or pre-undercoated with paint
You may find yourself spending a great deal of time searching for these odds and sods.
Time is money.
If you have never laid a floor before, don't forget to allow for at least 5% wastage and the risk of getting it wrong.
